However, with user-guided content creation, there is always the risk of unwanted customer interactions. To protect your brand image and ensure that the content you are creating accurately reflects your message, moderation is necessary. That's why BFF Live offers live moderation via a client portal - allowing you to curate, validate, and approve user generated experiences in real-time.



The benefits and ROI with an Experiential Promotion cannot be ignored, but if control and moderation is a sticking point rest assured that BFF Live campaigns are built on an in-depth range of mechanisms to minimize and eliminate risk of bad actors:


DURING BOOTH OPERATIONS


  • DIRECT SUPERVISION: if you're using the booth internally or if you have someone operating the booth onsite then your team has sole access to the booth and can take immediate action to end or remove sessions from undesirable participation. However, direct supervision isn't always an option, which leads to the next mechanisms...


  • RESTRICTED PUBLICATION: The simplest next step is limiting the audience you share the booth link with. In most cases this has the greatest impact, if bad actors don't have the link they can't use it. However as a first line of defense it's not foolproof, eg. it's your birthday party and a friend of a friend sends the link to your ex.... or ... you're operating a self-guided campaign.


With this in mind these reason the following features are available to you...



BASE SOFTWARE FEATURES


  • LIVE MODERATION: an essential feature of every booth is live moderation. Pre-event we provide you with a link to the client portal - a URL accessible on any wifi enabled device. Within the portal is a moderation section. While the system is simple and intuitive we still provide a user guide with every booking. Live Moderation operates on two modes: auto approval or manual approval. The desired mode must be setup by BFF prior to the live date.

- Auto approval sends captured content to the Live Display, Live Gallery and to the participant. This is the 'auto-pilot' approach, ideal for contained campaigns. If unwanted content goes live it can be deleted manually in seconds via the Client Portal. Once deleted any share links to the content will become inactive. The only caution is that if the content is unwanted, the participant may have had time to download it before it was deleted from the Client Portal.


- Manual approval sends nothing to the Live Display, Live Gallery or the participant until the content has been approved via the Client Portal. This is the 'moderation' approach, ideal for unpredictable audiences and when your campaign demands absolute control of content publication. The only caution is that a standout feature of the experience is having your content processed and delivered mere moments after the session, and in mere moments seen up on the live display for all to see. As these sessions must be manually approved, the time between participation and content delivery is entirely dependent on who has access to the Client Portal and at what intervals they are directed to check for new sessions.


  • GALLERY RESTRICTION: The Gallery is a microsite featuring share links to all the approved content. It can be found in-app after completing your session and a button to the gallery can be found on live share messages. You may not want participants to view content captured by other participants, if so we can remove the link entirely from the booth. Alternatively if you want full control over which participants can access the link we can lock gallery access with a password.

  • LIVE DISPLAY ACCESS: The live display is a default inclusion in every package, it showcases the captured content in real time on a slideshow accessible via a URL. Even when considering Live Moderations, if you don't want people to see the live display, don't give anyone the link.

  • CREDIT LIMITS: we can set the number of booth sessions currently available for a given campaign. If required this limit may be adjusted in line with the Credit Cap you've nominated. See the 'Credit Cap' summary in the Credits section of the FAQ.

  • DEVICE LIMITS: we can set the number of sessions allowed for a single device. This limit applies to all devices accessing the service. All capture devices (phones, webcams, dslr's, etc) have a unique device number, and the device limit is reached when the set device limit equals the number of times an identical device number uses a session credit... A session credit is used only after the participant approves the captured moment (eg. when they approve the photo before moving on to stickers, competitions, surveys, live sharing, etc.).
